Meet Elizabeth Hammond, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Intuitive Eating Counselor in Providence, RI.

Serving all of MA, RI, and VT

You remember a time when you weren’t always anxious or depressed, hating your body, and stuck in a terrible relationship with food, but those days feel like a distant memory. Don’t you wish you had the tools to change that?

You’re in the right place.

I’m Elizabeth Hammond, and I help women and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I help people who ready and motivated to grow and heal, but just need the support to get there.

As an eating disorder specialist, I am here to help my clients not only improve their relationship with food and their bodies, but also find confidence, empowerment, and fulfillment by equipping them with the tools they need to make peace with themselves and their past.

Many of today’s solutions for eating disorders and disordered eating are too narrow, focusing only on food behaviors, leading many people to feel like the root cause has not been fixed. I integrate treatment to look at the entire picture, giving you the tools you need to heal every part of yourself.

First, we assess how and why the eating disorder developed in the first place. We look at past events, people pleasing tendencies, perfectionism, and other traits that often escalate into an eating disorders or disordered eating. Then, we assess your individual values and goals to determine how these factors are stopping you from living the life you want. Throughout our work together, you’ll be equipped with effective coping skills so you can challenge the eating disorder, heal from trauma, and feel comfortable in your body again.

Watch my video to learn more about my journey into becoming a therapist, and why I’m so passionate about helping people just like you!

I am dedicated to helping people heal.

My training in trauma and eating disorders means I have the expertise you need and deserve when entering treatment.

But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who “gets” what it means to struggle with an eating disorder, right?

I understand because in addition to devoting my career to helping people heal their relationship with food, I’ve lived it myself. I know first-hand how overwhelming these problems can feel. So, when we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist. You’ll get someone who truly understands what you’re going through.
