Are you ready to start feeling connected, confident, and empowered?

Meet Elizabeth Hammond, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Intuitive Eating Counselor based in Providence, RI.

Elizabeth Hammond, Providence, RI based therapist for eating disorder, disordered eating, and trauma.

You remember a time when you weren’t always anxious or depressed, hating your body, and stuck in a terrible relationship with food, but those days now feel like a distant memory.

What if you had the tools and support to change that?

You’re in the right place.

I’m Elizabeth Hammond, and I work with women and members of the LGBTQIA+ community who are ready and motivated to grow and heal but need the right support to get there.

As an eating disorder specialist, I help my clients not only improve their relationship with food and their bodies but also find confidence, empowerment, and fulfillment. Together, we focus on developing the insight and tools you need to reclaim your control over food, reconnect with your body, and start unpacking the reasons your eating disorder developed in the first place.

Many approaches to eating disorder treatment focus only on food behaviors. While these can be important, they often leave people feeling like the deeper issues haven’t been addressed. My work takes a more integrated approach, looking at the full picture so that healing can happen on every level.

We begin by exploring how and why the eating disorder developed. This often includes looking at past experiences, people-pleasing patterns, perfectionism, and other traits that can contribute to disordered eating. From there, we clarify your values and goals and identify what may be getting in the way of the life you want to live.

Throughout our work together, you’ll learn effective coping skills to help challenge the eating disorder, process trauma, and feel more comfortable and at home in your body again.

I am dedicated to helping people heal.

My training in trauma and eating disorders means I have the expertise you need and deserve when entering treatment.

But just as important, you want to know that the person you’re working with really understands how difficult this struggle can be.

I understand because, in addition to devoting my career to helping recover from eating disorders, I’ve lived it myself. I know first-hand how overwhelming these experiences can feel. When we work together, you won’t just be working with a trained therapist; you’ll get someone who genuinely understands what you’re going through.
